CL Crank length
Crank length is given by height band; the actual choice should also consider leg length (inseam) and riding purpose. A longer crank makes the pedal circle larger at the same cadence, increasing muscle extension and knee flexion — a longer lever and higher torque, but more effort and more knee load.
